Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara OC (born March 4th, 1954)is a Canadian-American actress, comedian, and writer. O'Hara has been awarded a variety of awards that include the Genie Award (a Golden Globe Award), two Screen Actors Guild Awards and two Primetime Emmy Awards. In addition, O'Hara was awarded six Canadian Screen Awards. In 2018, she was named an Officer of Canada. Then, in 2020, she was awarded the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement award. O'Hara became famous as an actor when she joined in 1974 of The Second City, an improvisational comedy troupe based in Toronto. With John Candy and Dan Aykroyd, she was part the main cast of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara as well as Candy began work in Second City Television's sketch comedy show (1976-1984). O'Hara won an Primetime Emmy Award in 1981 for Outstanding Writing for Variety Series. O'Hara, Steve Carell and Dwayne Colbert were added to the Second City artistic board in 2022.
