Kyra Minturn

 Kyraminturn Sedgwick was conceived on August 19th, 1965. She is an American actress and producer. Her most prominent character is that of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. Sedgwick earned a Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her performance as Johnson and an Emmy Award 2010 for her portrayal. After the seventh season Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. The series ended August 13 on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick received nominations for an Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000), What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). She was also in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was an New York City native, the daughter Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) who was an educator and therapist for families, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI who was an investor in venture capital. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian as well as of English origin. Sedgwick has publicly declared her Jewish heritage and has said she takes part in Passover seders.
